El Premio Nacional del Libro (en inglés, "National Book Award") es uno de los más prestigiosos premios literarios que se conceden en Estados Unidos. Establecido en 1950, este galardón recompensa obras literarias publicadas durante el año anterior al de su concesión en diferentes categorías (ficción, no ficción, poesía y literatura infantil). En el pasado se han concedido premios en otras categorías que en la actualidad han desaparecido. Se premia también a autores por el conjunto de su trayectoria con los galardones "Medal of Distinguished Contribution to American Letters" y "Premio Literario".
Los ganadores de cada categoría son seleccionados por un jurado de cinco miembros, y su decisión se hace pública durante una ceremonia que se realiza cada año en el mes de noviembre. El ganador recibe un premio de 10.000 dólares en metálico, y una escultura de cristal.
