Rufus Frederik Sewell (n. Londres, Inglaterra; 29 de octubre de 1967) es un actor inglés de teatro, cine y televisión.
Es reconocido por su papel como John Murdoch, en Dark City (película estadounidense de 1998) y como el doctor Jacob Hood, protagonista de Eleventh Hour.

Carrera [editar]
Sewell es conocido por sus roles de villano, en películas como Destino de caballero, La leyenda del Zorro, Bless the Child, Helena de Troya y El ilusionista. Él ha expresado su aburrimiento, diciendo: «No volveré a hacer de malo».[1] Recientemente apareció en la miniserie de HBO John Adams como Alexander Hamilton.
Vida personal [editar]
Mantuvo una relación sentimental con la actriz Kate Winslet. Se ha casado dos veces. Su primera esposa fue la periodista de modas Yasmin Abdallah; se casaron en 1999 y se divorciaron unos meses después.[2] El y su segunda esposa, Amy Gardner (con quien se casó en 2004), tienen un hijo, William Billy Douglas (nacido el 18 de marzo de 2002). En 2006 se divorciaron.
Actualmente Sewell es soltero, y divide su tiempo entre Londres y Los Ángeles.
Cuando no trabaja, disfruta de la fotografía y utiliza equipos Leica. Dice Sewell: «Mi pasatiempo favorito es simplemente vagabundear por todas partes, yendo a cafés tomando fotografías. Mi día favorito es un accidente feliz».[3]
