Laidback Luke (nacido Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen, el 22 de octubre de 1976, en Manila, Filipinas) es un productor y DJ filipino-holandés. Fue votado como DJ número #46 en el top 100 de la revista DJ Magazine en 2008. Más tarde saltaría al puesto #27 en 2009, al #17 en 2010, baja al #20 en el 2011 para la desgracia del DJ/Productor, baja al #29 en el 2012, y baja al #31 en el 2013. Actualmente ocupa el puesto #50 en la revista Britanica DjMag.

Laidback Luke creció en Holanda. Ha trabajado con artistas como, Armand Van Helden, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell y Junior Sánchez y ha pinchado por Europa y Norte América además de algunos espectáculos en Ibiza y Japón. Ha lanzado dos álbumes: Psyched Up (1998) y Electronic Satisfaction (2002) además de un satisfactorio álbum de remixes: Windmill Skill (2003). En 2003, van Scheppingen hizo un remix de la canción "Crescendolls" de Daft Punk para su álbum conjunto bajo el nombre de Daft Club. Luke también ha puesto a la venta su propio álbum de remixes, llamado Ibiza Closing Party en 2008.

Con respecto a su vida personal, a fines de 2012 contrajo matrimonio con la DJ y productora neoyorquina Gina Turner, con la que también integran el proyecto musical Nouveau Yorican.^[1]^[2]^[3]
