Super J-Cup
La Super J-Cup es un torneo de lucha libre profesional con luchadores de peso pesado junior de todo el mundo. El torneo fue concebido originalmente por el luchador japonés Jushin Thunder Liger como un escaparate para las empresas de Asia y América del Norte, incluida la empresa local de Liger New Japan Pro-Wrestling (que organizó el primer torneo en 1994), Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, Wrestle Association R, Michinoku Pro Wrestling, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre y Social Progress Wrestling Federation.
En los años siguientes, los luchadores que representan a Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) y Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) también participarán en el torneo. Después de 1995, el torneo tomó un paréntesis de cinco años antes de regresar en el año 2000 (esta vez organizado por Michinoku Pro Wrestling).
Desde entonces, el torneo solo ha tenido lugar cuatro veces (en 2004, 2009, 2016 y 2019). La Super J-Cup original, celebrada en 1994, es ampliamente considerada como uno de los mejores espectáculos de lucha profesional de todos los tiempos. Dave Meltzer, editor del Wrestling Observer Newsletter, calificó la Super J-Cup de 1994 como "la noche de lucha más increíble de la historia".
