Buratino

Patronymics

I haven't found anything in the Wikipedia policies regarding the use of Russian patronymics in article titles. However, I'm almost positive they're not needed, as other articles on famous Russians and people from the former USSR don't have the patronymic included in the title: Gary Kaspárov, Aleksandr Pushkin, etc. As for the category "Diseñadors de estampillas", it's now renamed. It's best to keep the diacritics of the original language as long as it's written in Latin characters (otherwise the name has to be transliterated). Redirections can always be created so as to get easily to the right place. Sabbut (めーる) 07:31 12 feb 2009 (UTC)

Oh, I perhaps understand now what you mean. Yes, if we compare the Spanish article Telégrafo and the Russian article ru:Телеграф, we can see a difference in narrating historical events connected with the telegraph invention. Vladímir Putin en filatelia would be more correct because the Russian article also describes Putin as a philatelist himself, not only stamps about him. He collects stamps commemorating famous people in the world. Can you add this information to the Spanish article, please?

• General category - se-tenant
  • Subcategories
    • Pair (two stamps in 1 row)
    • Triptych (three stamps in 1 row)
    • Strip (>3 stamps in 1 row)
    • Block (>2 rows of stamps)

Hola chaval, I think it's better to write you in English. Thanks for your message, I'm interested too in postage stamps ;) I'm doing lists of the last stamps issues of the european countries. The model I follow ist the german one, unfortunately there are not enough pictures of the stamps from another countries .Maybe you can help with more pictures of russian stamps.

I have reviewed some of your contributions, it's great when somebody that don't really speak my language makes a big effort to write quality articles. In some instances they need some corrections, ortographical, grammatical and edit. I made already some of them. It would be nice in your next contributions to ask me when something ist to you not very clear to translate, specially the titles of the articles. I'll be glad to help you.

Thanks a lot for your efforts. That's OK if you rotated the image for the Spanish article. The original image has a horizontal inscription in Russian: "Пекин".
