THE MADDIE'S (BAND)[editar]

The Maddie's is a peruvian rock and roll band formed in Lima in 2022. The group was founded by lead singer Portugal Nixx, guitarrist Thrash Khan, and guitarrist George Snake. They released their first EP in July of 2022.

Moterhell[editar]

2020s, the decade of Reggaeton, K-pop, Dembow and Indie pop. Fake rock bands all over the world, and nobody is as loud as it should be. Bassist Matt Ness and Portugal Nixx were looking for a more aggressive, dirty, and fast sound, but without falling into simplicity, dissatisfied with the rock and metal of the time full of Djent, Indie rock and soft sounds.[1]

So together with his friend Tom Razzo on drums, they started a project inspired by bands like Black Sabbath, Venom, Motorhead, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Exodus, UFO, Deep Purple, GBH, etc.

The band started under the name of Moterhell as a punk rock band, with fast and heavy songs but touch of complexity that 70s punk rock lacked, getting closer to 80s hardcore and thrash/speed metal.

Portugal Nixx would eventually become the vocalist with the addition of the talented Thrash Khan and George Snake on guitars. Sadly, Moterhell would fail, Matt and Tom would drop out of the project, leaving the trio alone, before even recording a demo.

The Maddie's[editar]

Alone and without members, finding someone with good influences was too difficult, the three boys searched high and low for a drummer and bassist, while rehearsing at Portugal Nixx's house.

And it was at that moment when The Maddie's was born, with the addition of gifted bass guitar player Sir Toshio and the heavy Zeta Love on drums, creating a classic lineup. In their first rehearsal together, the musical chemistry was perfect.

So, on July 8th, after successfully giving their first little gig (breaking the event mic, yes, they were that aggressive), they recorded and uploaded their first ep, a live demo of that same gig. It was called "Street Rock".

Last News[editar]

The Maddie's is bringing loudness, heaviness, rawness and an ugly rock and roll sound to the masses again. Actually they are recording their first album.
