Hello, the rule
.*\.(js|css)$ <autoconfirmed|errmsg=Debes estar registrado para crear esta página.>
prevents me to write in some MetaWiki talk: pages, like MediaWiki_discusión:Gadget-AjaxPatrolLinks.js, because I'm not autoconfirmed (spotted by Liangent in bugzilla:42316). Not to mention that it even forbids creation of Special:MyPage/common.js etc.! Please fix it and make the error messages more understandable. Thanks, Nemo bis (discusión) 11:30 22 nov 2012 (UTC)
- Well, not many newbies create Mediawiki talk:*.js/.css or user:*/**.js/.css pages. This was added to prevent not-autoconfirmed users to create these subpages with inappropiate content, as most RC patrollers could not mark these for deletion (only sysops can).
Si existe la posibilidad de limitar esto a las subpáginas de usuario:, sería lo apropiado. Retirarlo con apenas discusión no me parece correcto. Savh dímelo 21:49 22 nov 2012 (UTC)- I reverted my change to reach a consensus. --Ignacio

I came here to resolve an interwiki confict and found I couldn't create my common.js to use my global.js, and had to have someone else create it for me. - Is it really that much of a problem? To me it would seem something that would be better handled by a watching abuse filter. That would allow for quick reversion by admins if required. Seems weird that an established and trusted user has to go to admins or to a steward to get something simple and legitimate in place. Billinghurst (discusión) 13:43 26 feb 2013 (UTC)

appears to be broken. When I try and create a page in user namespace with .js or .css in it, it gives me this:
Debes ser un [[Wikipedia:Usuarios autoconfirmados

- Efectivamente es un error: en ese contexto las plecas (
|) están reservadas como separador de los atributos del filtro que a su vez se encierran en llaves de menor y mayor (<y>). Véase la documentación. Entiendo que se puede resolver fácilmente reemplezando la pleca del enlace con la alternativa{{!}}. Hago llamamiento a -jem- a ver si puede revisarlo, ya que puso él ese código hace más de diez años. -- Leoncastro (discusión) 13:08 6 dic 2023 (UTC)
