La siguiente es la discografía de la banda estadounidense de heavy metal y glam metal Mötley Crüe, formada en Los Ángeles, California en enero de 1981. La banda fue fundada por el bajista Nikki Sixx y el baterista Tommy Lee, quien más tarde se unió fueron el guitarrista Mick Mars y el cantante Vince Neil. Mötley Crüe ha vendido más de 80 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo,[1][2] incluyendo 25 millones en los Estados Unidos.[1] La banda ha lanzado nueve álbumes de estudio 1981: Too Fast for Love, 1983: Shout at the Devil, 1985: Theatre of Pain, 1987: Girls, Girls, Girls, 1989: Dr. Feelgood, 1994: Mötley Crüe, 1997: Generation Swine, 2000: New Tattoo, 2008: Saints of Los Angeles, 2 álbumes en vivo, 3 EP, 6 álbumes recopilatorios, 3 box set, 9 DVD, 28 sencillos y 24 videos musicales.
Mötley Crüe ha sido nominado cuatro veces en total en los American Music Awards por "Artista Favorito de Heavy Metal/Hard Rock" en los American Music Awards, en 1990 y 1991.[3][4] Mötley Crüe ha sido nominado dos veces en "Álbum de Heavy Metal/Hard Rock" por el álbum Dr. Feelgood en 1990, Mötley Crüe ganó un American Music Award en la categoría "Álbum de Heavy Metal/Hard Rock" por Dr. Feelgood en 1991.[3][4] Mötley Crüe ha recibido tres nominaciones a los premios Grammy en general durante la carrera de la banda en la categoría "Mejor Interpretación de Hard Rock" por «Dr. Feelgood» en 1990, «Kickstart My Heart» de 1991, y «Saints of Los Angeles» en 2009.[3][4] Mötley Crüe recibió una nominación de MTV Video Music Awards en la categoría "Mejor video de Metal/Hard Rock" por «Kickstart My Heart».[3][4]
Los miembros de la banda son más conocidos por sus duros estilos de vida en los que viven. Todos los miembros han tenido demasiados y diferentes problemas con la ley, han pasado un tiempo en la cárcel, sufren de alcoholismo, grandes adicciones a las drogas, había un sinnúmero de aventuras con las mujeres, y están tatuados en gran medida. Su noveno álbum de estudio, Saints of Los Angeles, fue lanzado el 24 de junio de 2008,[5] mientras que la adaptación al cine de su autobiografía The Dirt se debe a que se estrenará en 2011.[6][7] Actualmente están escribiendo nuevo material para su próximo álbum.[5]
