Edward "Ed" Croft Dutton (nacido en 1980 en Londres, Inglaterra)[2]​ es un antropólogo y académico inglés que se desempeñó como profesor titular e investigador en la Universidad de Oulu en Finlandia.[2][3][4]​ Dutton es licenciado en Teología por la Universidad de Durham (en donde estudió con el reverendo y teólogo Douglas Davies) y doctor en Antropología de la religión (supervisado por el rabino Seth Kunin)[5][6]​ por la Universidad de Aberdeen.[7]​ Fue profesor de esta última y de la Universidad Stradiņš de Riga[8]​ antes de incorporarse a la Universidad de Oulu.

Ha sido editor de Mankind Quarterly desde 2019,[9]​ una revista académica revisada por pares.
