John Allen Astin es un actor y director de los Estados Unidos de América, nacido el 30 de marzo de 1930 en Baltimore, Maryland. Mundialmente famoso por haber interpretado a Gomez Addams en The Addams Family (Homero Addams en Sudamérica). También sustituyó al actor Frank Gorshin como el villano Riddler en dos episodios de la serie de TV de Batman.
Su último trabajo fue en la película llamada Starship II: Rendezvous with Ramses que se estrenó en el 2008, donde interpretó el personaje del Professor Peabody.
