Daisy Jazz Isobel Ridley (Londres, 10 de abril de 1992)[3]​[4]​ es una actriz británica.[5]​ En abril de 2014 se confirmó su participación en Star Wars: Episodio VII - El Despertar de la Fuerza,[6]​ interpretando al personaje de Rey.[7]​ La película, estrenada el 18 de diciembre de 2015, llevó a la actriz a la fama internacional.

Carrera

Ridley ha aparecido en las series[8]​[9]​ Youngers, Testigo mudo, Mr Selfridge y Casualty. También ha aparecido en el cortometraje Blue Season y en la película Scrawl. Aparecerá en Supercutres 2.[2]​[10]​[11]​ Ridley protagonizó el papel principal en la tercera parte de Lifesaver,[12]​ un film interactivo por el que fue nominada a un premio BAFTA British Academy Award.[13]​

El 29 de abril de 2014, se anunció que tendría un papel protagonista en Star Wars: Episodio VII - El Despertar de la Fuerza,[2]​[10]​[11]​[14]​[15]​[6]​ interpretando al personaje de Rey.[7]​ La película fue estrenada el 18 de diciembre de 2015 con un gran éxito de taquilla y catapultando a la actriz a la fama internacional.

Vida personal

Ridley asistió a la escuela Tring Park School for the Performing Arts en Hertfordshire, graduándose en 2010 a la edad de 18.[3]​[4]​ La madre de Ridley, Louise Fawkner-Corbett, es directora de publicidad, y su padre, Chris Ridley, es fotógrafo.[3]​[4]​ Es la más joven de cinco hijos, teniendo dos hermanas, Kika-Rose y Poppy, y dos medio hermanas de un matrimonio anterior de su padre.[3]​[4]​ Kika-Rose trabaja como modelo en la agencia Models 1.[4]​[15]​ Su familia tiene una casa en el distrito Maida Vale de Londres.
