Edward Alexander Newell Arber (1870 - 1918) fue un botánico, paleontólogo, profesor inglés. Era hijo del profesor Edward Arber (1836-1912), especialista en literatura inglesa antigua. Estaba casado, desde el 5 de agosto de 1909, con su colega Agnes Robertson (1879-1960), de la cual había sido profesor de paleobotánica en la Universidad de Cambridge. Tuvieron un único hijo, Muriel, en julio de 1912.
