Nicéforo Urano (en griego: Νικηφόρος Οὐρανός; trans. Nikephoros Ouranos, en latín: Nicephorus Uranus; fl. ca. 980 – m. 1010/1011) fue un general bizantino y doméstico de las escolas que sirvió durante el reinado del emperador Basilio II Bulgaróctono (976–1025). Fue uno de los colaboradores más cercanos del emperador y se hizo famoso en las guerras búlgaro-bizantinas, incluyendo la gran victoria que obtuvo en la batalla del río Esperqueo en 997, y en los combates contra los árabes en Siria, donde fue comandante durante la primera década del siglo XI como virrey de Basilio II. Era un hombre culto que escribió un manual militar (Táctica) y compuso varios poemas y hagiografías que han sobrevivido hasta nuestros días.
