Hola Super Dro!!!

Saludos. Super Ψ Dro 06:53 21 mar 2018 (UTC)

«Sin título»[editar]

Hello Super Dromaeosaurus, I'm an Italian user, sorry for speaking English but I can't speak Spanish. I'm looking for somebody who could help me, and since you've been interested in the Wikiproyecto:Italia you may be able to help me with this issue. It's simple: somedoby should correct the orthography of an Italian town name, Cardé, with a correct acute accent, which is now written with a wrong grave accent. In Italian, unlike in Spanish, letteres E and O may have both grave and acute accent: grave when the sound is open (/ɛ/ & /ɔ/), acute when it's closed (/e/ & /o/). In this case the correct pronunciation is closed, so it must have acute accent. Here's some sources showing that the correct spelling is "Cardé": Dizionario d'ortografia e di pronunzia, Dizionario di Pronuncia Italiana, Enciclopedia, Enciclopedia Treccani. Will you take care of this issue, please? If you have any questions, I'm here to clarify your doubts! Gracias (discusión) 10:12 28 mar 2018 (UTC)

Ok, no problem. But why is it written with grave accent in the itwiki then? Super Ψ Dro 10:18 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
I'm seeing other wikis and I see that the title is also a problem there. I think it would be best to talk about it on the article's talk page and reach a consensus. Super Ψ Dro 10:25 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
In Italian wiki there's currently a discussion in the project about Italian municipal administrations, and the consensus is already towards the acute accent because of the same sources I've provided here: there're 3 users agreeing, 2 users not interested in this issue and 1 user disagreeing. Plus, a Wikipedian shouldn't look at what are doing other wikis in other languages, because every wiki is indipendent from the others, and should instead look at sources and establish whether they're reliable or not. Do you think the sources I've provided are reliable? They're the most authoritative Italian dictionaries and encyclopedies, I think they're reliable enough. (discusión) 10:44 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
In this case, I will start a consensus to decide if the title is changed or not. Super Ψ Dro 10:46 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
Okay, where are you discussing this issue? In Wikiproyecto:Italia? (discusión) 10:48 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
Here. Super Ψ Dro 10:49 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
To know the correct spelling of a word or name, you look for it in a dictionary or encyclopedy. In Italian language, people don't care so much about accents: all of us except Tuscans pronounce Italian not with the standard (Florentine) orthoepy, most of us don't know when E wants acute and when grave accents, some of us even use the apostrophe in place of the accent when writing... That's why you find so many occurrences for that name with grave accent. If you google "perchè" (wrong spelling for "perché"), you'll find 77 millions results. The correct spelling, registered in dictionaries which care about pronunciation too, is "Cardé", and a wiki which is an encyclopedy should report the most correct form, don't you think? Consider what I've just said, this may help you to have a full view about this issue. (discusión) 11:11 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
And if you also participate in the discussion? I can correct you if you write something wrong, but I think it's better that you expose your arguments instead of me repeating them. Super Ψ Dro 11:16 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
Well, in this moment we're just 2, and if you're convinced by my arguments and you consider these sources authoritative it means that we both agree with the renaming. In case somebody else joins that discussion, I'll write there too what I've told you to inform him as I did with you. I hope somebody among the users interested in the project about Italia will reply. Oh, one last thing: why can't I start a paragraph with more that 2 ":"? If I do the edit is blocked because a filter says I'm using ASCII which is forbidden... (discusión) 11:24 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
I just tried that with my IP account and that happened to me, probably the best thing would be to create an account. Super Ψ Dro 11:28 28 mar 2018 (UTC)
May you join the discussion you opened yesterday and state your opinion after all the sources I brought there (including a pair of Spanish books), please? (discusión) 11:59 29 mar 2018 (UTC)
