Anexo:Banda sonora de InuYasha

La banda sonora de la primera parte de InuYasha está compuesta de seis openings, ocho endings y música instrumental, creada por Wada Kaoru, principalmente inspirada en temas tradicionales japoneses, muy acordes con la era Sengoku, donde ocurren los hechos.

La serie entera ha contado con un enorme repertorio de temas musicales, recogidos en 3 OST. En el primero, InuYasha TV OST Soundtrack 1, se encuentran 36 canciones, entre algunas de ellas "Change The World" y "My Will" (opening y ending respectivamente) y música que aparece según el personaje, como Kagome - Across the time, Half Demon, Sesshomaru, etc.. El segundo, InuYasha TV OST Soundtrack 2, se encuentra música un poco más profunda, anexo también temas de nuevos personajes, como Rin. El tercero y último de la primera serie, InuYasha TV OST Soundtrack 3, se encuentran temas más allá de la historia, culminando el punto álgido de esta. Como muchas series, InuYasha también vendió una colección con el single de cada personaje, Single Characters Collection, dónde hay un tema de cada uno y cantado por su propio seiyū, reflejando su interior.

Como en muchos animes, los openings son más animados y de un aspecto más divertido que los endings, que son más finos y melancólicos. Los seis openings que se encuentran en InuYasha son: "Change the world" por V6, "I am" por Hitomi Yaida, "Owarinai yume" por Nanase Aikawa, "Grip!" por Every Little Thing, "One day, one dream" por Tackey & Tsubasa, y "Angelus" por Hitomi Shimatani; mientras que los diez endings -el octavo es la canción del primer opening, y el décimo es una repetición del primer ending, ambos con nuevas imágenes- presentados son: "My will" por Dream, "Fukai mori" por Do As Infinity, "Dearest" por Ayumi Hamasaki (popular cantante de Jpop), "Every heart - Minna no kimochi" por BoA (otra popular cantante de Asia, tanto de Jpop como de Kpop), "Shinjitsu no uta" por Do As Infinity, "Itazura na kiss" por Day after tomorrow, "Come" por Namie Amuro, "Change the world" por V6, "Brand-new world" por V6, y "My will" por Dream, nuevamente.

En la segunda parte de la serie, InuYasha Kanketsu-hen, se encuentran temas nuevos: Un opening y tres ending, destacando el primero por ser el único para toda la serie. Los respectivos opening son "Kimi ga inai mirai" por Do As Infinity, en donde la banda ya había hecho temas anteriores. En los ending se encuentran "With you" por AAA, "Diamond" por alan, y "Tooi michi no saki de" por Takekawa Ai, los tres con ritmo y video melancólicos.

Wind Symphonic Theme Collection

Todas las canciones aquí se organizaron por Kaoru Wada (responsable de componer la banda sonora de la serie) y sus colegas, y fueron realizados por la Orquesta Filarmónica de Japón. Aunque la mayoría de la música de la serie ya está orquestado, estos temas son las pistas de voces conocidas de la serie, es decir, las canciones realizadas por Dream, Do As Infinity, Ayumi Hamasaki, BoA, etc..
