Toshinori Kondo (Ehime, 15 de diciembre de 1948) es un trompetista japonés de jazz fusión. Reside alternativamente en Tokio, Nueva York y Ámsterdam.

Estudia en la Universidad de Kyoto a partir de 1967, y allí entabla amistad con el percusionista Tsuchitori Toshiyuki. En 1972 ambos dejan la universidad, y Toshiyuki se va a trabajar con Peter Brook, mientras Kondo se incorpora a la banda de Yosuke Yamashita. En 1978, Kondo se traslada a Nueva York, y comienza a tocar con Bill Laswell, John Zorn, Fred Frith y Eraldo Bernocchi, entre otros. Un año más tarde, publica su primer álbum, y realiza una gira por Europa, con Eugene Chadbourne, colaborando con músicos europeos como Peter Brötzman. De regreso a Japón, trabaja con Ryuichi Sakamoto, Kazumi Watanabe y Herbie Hancock. A mediados de los años 1980, comienza a plantear su propia carrera, mezclando sus órigenes de vanguardia con la música electrónica, y colaborando con un gran número de músicos de todo el mundo. En el año 2002, colaboró en la organización de un Festival por la Paz en Hiroshima, impulsado por el Dalai Lama entre otros. Ha trabajado también en la banda Praxis.

Kondo ha colaborado con Bill Laswell en la producción del disco Inamorata, en 2007.
