AEIED

The Spanish Association of Building Engineers (AEIED, acronym in Spanish of Spanish Association of Building Engineers) is a professional body for building engineers in Spain, where meets graduates in Building Engineering (IE, acronym in Spanish of Building Engineering), IE graduates in College Degrees by adapting pre- implementation of the Bologna Process (Rigger or Quantity Surveyor) and students of the last year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Building Engineering (also Construction Engineering). The AEIED was born in 2009 with the hope of contributing to society, helping to implement the IE profession in Spain according to the Engineering Building which is exercised in other countries of the European Union. In order to contribute to a clear social benefit by improving the professional activity in a changing environment, by applying continuous solutions. The AEIED promotes and defends, non profit , the profession of Building Engineering: the name of the curriculum as Bachelor's Degree in Building Engineering in all Colleges of the different Spanish Universities (because the titles are been canceled by order of the Spanish justice) and to put this new profession into the new Professional Services Law (LSP,acronym in Spanish of the Professional Services Law), according to directives of the EU and its Internal market (formerly the common market or the European Economic Area nowadays). Also the AEIED defends, under the perspective of a new professional horizons more adapted to modern requirements, which it is allowed that the Buildings obtain a qualitative improvement in their development through the adoption of new knowledge and the appropriate specialization. The AEIED is governed by democratic principles and it's independent of any political collectives, economical, social or union groups, with full freedom of opinion and expression of its partners.

Structure

The AEIED is a membership organisation and is governed by a board of directors that sets the objectives of the organisation, therefore the executive team will deliver or will defend those objectives.

Designations

The AEIED has several designations for members, these are:

• Graduate Members who will be graduate members in a year and so, they are fully in our membership.
• Associate Members who are qualified and so they are fully trained or they will exercise the Building Enginnering profession.
