La siguiente es una lista de los rascacielos más altos del estado de Michigan de EE. UU. Año a año. La tabla a continuación muestra el rascacielos, su altura, cuándo se completó, cuánto tiempo fue el más alto y qué rascacielos lo superó. El Frank & Seder (1881) se considera el edificio alto con estructura de hierro más antiguo de Detroit. El edificio Hammond (1889) es considerado el primer rascacielos con estructura de acero de Detroit, aunque ahora está demolido. El rascacielos con estructura de acero más antiguo de Detroit es el United Way Community Services Building (1895) de 12 pisos en 1212 Griswold, originalmente conocido como el Edificio de la Cámara de Comercio.
