ODDA Magazine[editar]

ODDA MAGAZINE is a biannual, contemporary fashion and culture magazine based in New York and founded by current Creative Director and Editor-in-Chief David Martin in April 2012.

By speaking out for creatives, artists, philanthropists, actors, models and people in the spotlight, ODDA is a platform that marks to talented individuals. Starting from the very first issue, ODDA was published in the form of a hard-copy magazine by Daddo Limited, a private media group.

Its editorial line through the years, as stated by WWD, “shift more into art, architecture and cultural touches offer a more all-encompassing view of fashion.” Portraying menswear and womenswear from the beginning, every themed issue reflects a statement which shapes the contents inside of it.

ODDA collaborates with top-players in the fashion industry like photographer Rankin. In 2015 Paris Hilton was the first ODDA cover star. Then others showbiz personalities appeared in the magazine such as actress Pamela Anderson (early cover star and then for the very first time as a photographer in a publication for the 5th Anniversary Issue) and actress Lindsay Lohan (cover star of ODDA12 in 2017).

The magazine regularly publishes through its issues special collaborations with high brands in the industry, showcasing clothing (current and past collections from all seasons including pre-fall and resort,Ready-to-wear and Haute Couture) in a conceptual way.

INTERVIEWS[editar]

ODDA magazine is a versatile publication that includes interviews with fashion personalities: it has featured conversations with Claudia Schiffer, Christian Lacroix, Suzy Menkes, Stephen Jones Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. ODDA also gives a 360° vision about different artistic and industry-related characters like Joan Collins, Amanda Lear, Carla Sozzani, Pierre et Gilles, Joe d’Alessandro and so on. Due to the intention of not defining roles and rules, many creatives made a special appearance in the magazine with other credits (see Riccardo Tisci as casting director in a special feature in ODDA 11).

SPECIAL FEATURES[editar]

Over the years contents that built ODDA’s flavor are the Trend Panels, which encapsulates the best fashion trends to watch out season after season and locations like Prada Marfa in the United States. Designed to resemble a Prada store, the work highlights Prada’s sleek minimalism with its site to Marfa, a town known for the location of minimalist artist Donald Judd’s large-scale works and his legacy to create sustainable and permanent art houses (ODDA 11).

Special contents are developed for the Anniversary issues: in 2017 for the 5th Anniversary issue (ODDA 12) designers like Thom Browne, Damir Doma, Stephen Jones, Paul Smith and Jonathan Anderson decided to make their greetings to the magazine by posing for numbered and unique polaroids. Also included in ODDA 13 is a first edition, a special 24-page mini-book entitled LÓFASZ, with seductive pictures of models.
