Visit South Coast Finland is the joint marketing brand of tourism businesses and municipalities in Western- Uusimaa. The brand and marketing are managed by the regional Destionation Marketing Organisation, Länsi-Uudenmaan Lumo matkailu Oy.

The region includes the municipalities of Lohja, Siuntio, Hanko, Inkoo and Raseborg, which together form Finland’s southernmost tourism region. Tourism in the area offers a huge variety of activities for travel lovers. In fact, a rich cultural history makes the region very interesting. Finnish industry was born in the area and, nowadays, one can visit the old ironworks. Best known places are Fiskars, Billnäs and Mustio. In addition, Tytyri Mine Museum in Lohja is a living example of iron industry. The mine is still in operation and it is possible to visit this underground mine as deep as 100 meters. The prosperity of former times is also found in a number of manors and big farms.

Moreover, outstanding landscapes and natural features can be enjoyed while walking through the region. Waterways and lakes are the most important and visited places. Ekenäs Archipelago National Park, Lohja Lake, the largest lake in southern Finland, and Mustio and Siuntio rivers are some beautiful examples. Hanko’s famous sandy beaches are also a must see.

Well-being services are numerous in the area. Päiväkumpu Spa and Siuntio Spa are located in Western Uusimaa, as well as the sport and exercise centres Kiskallio and Kisakeskus. Nature and silence create the ideal place for relaxing and increasing well-being. Karnaisten Korpi outdoors hiking destination and the wide forest areas of Fiskars are great examples of southern Finnish nature.

The region, which is located between Helsinki and Turku, is very easy to reach. It takes only half an hour drive from Helsinki to reach the Western-Uusimaa region.
