Since its inception, man has created machines that imitate the parts of the human body and their movements and facilitate their functions; the first machines or tools that helped facilitate human tasks are known as simple machines. A simple machine is a mechanical device that changes the direction or magnitude of a force.

A compound machine is the combination of several simple machines, so that the output of each one of them is directly connected to the input of the next one until the desired effect is achieved. For example: axles, gears, motors, etc.

The evolution of the machines continued through time, one of the most important moments is in 1780 when Watt (James Watt), manages to create a steam engine for industrial use.
