Nang nak es un romántico trágico y la película de horror producida por Nonzee Nimibutr en 1999 por el Buddy Film and Video Production Co. en Tailandia. Esto destaca la vida de una esposa fiel de fantasmas y el marido confiado. En particular conmovedor en la película es la devoción de la esposa a su marido. Una escena en particular impresionante y misteriosa es donde el marido (Mak) ve a su esposa amplía su brazo toda a la tierra(razón) de la choza elevada. La historia de Naak es famosa y un favorito entre Thailanders y ha sido filmada y hecha en óperas muchas veces. Hay un lugar santo dedicado a Naak en Sukhumwit, Bangkok.

It features the life of a devoted ghost wife and the unsuspecting husband. Particularly poignant in the film is the devotion of the wife to her husband. A particularly impressive and eerie scene is where the husband (Mak) sees her wife extend her arm all the way to the ground from the elevated hut. The story of Mae Naak Phra Khanong is famous and a favorite among Thai people and has been filmed and made into operas many times. There is a shrine dedicated to Mae Naak at On Nut, Sukhumwit Soi 77, Bangkok. The movie is interesting for a western audience, portraying a people and way of life which is completely unknown to most western viewers. The story deals with universal themes and translates extremely well between cultures.
