Ivana María Alochis[editar]

Ivana María Alochis (born in 1962 in Villa Fontana, Córdoba) is a professor, specialist in Spanish and lexicology, in the Faculty of Languages of the National University of Córdoba in Argentina. She has a doctoral degree in gender and sexuality studies from Centro de Estudios Avanzados of the UNC. She based her doctoral research on sexual violence representations in published news by the printing industry of Córdoba between 1983 and 2013. Her work analyzed 328 news of different local newspapers that involved sexual violence not linked to homicide against young and grown women. Alochis is best known for her books Warmi. Yo soy mía, in which she challenges conventional notions of gender and develops her research about sexual violence, and En el campo me crié: Adivinanzas Tradicionales, a collection of traditional riddles written in collaboration with Vanina Rodríguez, her daughter.
