My name is Alexa Zarur and I am student of an english class where our main objective is to to transition from English as a purely classroom exercise to a skill to continue to develop in the real world, both professionally and personally. We expect that by the end of this course, all students will:
1) Have a basic understanding of how effective communications are constructed in English and why. This will be done both through analysis of texts/video/audio along with writing and speaking
2) Appreciate English as a global lingua franca
3) Understand how to discern between persuasion and information, and to produce both effectively in English.
4) Interact with an online English language community
