Viola Barry was NOT known as Peggy Pearce. Is a mistake that is propagating through the net. Peggy Pearce was a different person (not an alias or pseudonym). Pearce actually worked in several Keystone Pictures shorts and collaborated in Mack Sennett's productions as Velma Pearce. Peggy Pearce was born on June 4, 1894 in Long Beach, California, USA as Velma Pearce. She was known for Ace of the Saddle (1919), A Film Johnnie (1914), His Favorite Pastime (1914) and More Deadly Than the Male (1919). She was married to Arthur Klein. She died on February 26, 1975 in Los Angeles, California. Please check IMDB page (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3989506/?ref_=tt_ov_st) The image in the headshot of Viola Barry's wikipedia page (english version) shows Peggy Pearce, with her co-star Harry Carey, in a publicity still from the lost film Ace in the Saddle. In Viola Barry's spanish version page you can see her image in the headshot.

I'm a retired executive from the entertainment industry. Worked as journalist, TV network programmer, studio manager and distributor. Have an extensive collection of magazines, newspaper clips, promotional stills, press books and exhibitor kits; a private archive of hundreds of movies in 16mm, tape and digital formats. I may be considered a valid source of information.

Chicos, Viola Barry y Peggy Pearce NO SON LA MISMA PERSONA.
