It is ridiculous and ill-informed to suggest that this article should be deleted. It is well sourced and referenced and tells an important story about a political movement that is very relevant to Spanish history and to the world today. It uses the Harvard system of referencing as well as numerical footnotes, but this system is the most widely accepted in the academic world (I say this as a university teacher and a professional examiner).

I showed this article to the professor at one of the colleges of London University who is one of the world's top historians of the Spanish Civil War. He said that the article was 'very good indeed' and that in fact he found it 'very moving'. He suggested that only one sentence needed changing. For obvious reasons I will not name the eminent professor here, but if a wikipedia administrator sends me a private e-mail I will give them the professor's identity and if the administrator knows anything about the Spanish Civil War he or she will instantly recognise the professor as one of the foremost authorities, perhaps the most prominent expert in the world. I will also supply the professor's e-mail address if I can be sure that my communication with the administrator is secure. Alternatively the administrator will be able to find the professor easily through the university web-page if he or she wishes to follow this up and ask for a truly expert opinion on this article's quality.

Whoever tagged this article and suggested that it is not worthy of wikipedia has made a great mistake. The world believes that during the civil war, each and every Spaniard was a killer, and all Spaniards were either fascists or democrats, nationalists or republicans, evil or good. This article reminds us that things were not that simple, and that Spain also had ordinary people who were simply human, and heroes who were known round Europe and the world for their humanity and for the work that they did towards peace instead of war. Hola Diego, no entiendo muy bien el comentario que haces sobre la no aptitud del artículo. Soy nuevo en la creación de artículos en Wikipedia (como se podrá observar por alguno de los fallos que seguro contendrá el artículo), pero creo que su contenido es válido para la Wikipedia. De hecho los contenidos están tomados de la Wikipedia inglesa y me ha parecido que era una verdadera pena que esta información estuviese disponible para usuarios de esta lengua y no para hispanohablantes máxime cuando la temática y el personaje tratados son parte de nuestra historia reciente (Guerra Civil, movimiento contra la guerra, etc.). Si hay algo en concreto que consideres mejorable o que convendría completar o eliminar me indicas, por favor. un saludo Abedia (discusión) 17:10 12 ago 2009 (UTC)

I note that the tag suggesting that this article is not referenced has now been removed. I also notice that no discussion has been added to try to justify the claim that this article is without relevance. I suggest that this is because the article is very relevant to the modern history of Spain, and that the opposite position is clearly illogical and without foundation in fact.
