Gaudencio "Jay R" Sillona III (born February 1, 1981) is a Filipino singer, actor and model.

Biography

Early life Gaudencio A. Sillona III, popularly known as Jay R, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California on February 1, 1981. He was 2nd year college, taking up Computer Engineering, in Devry University in L.A.

He was once a part of a group named FI (First Impression). The group consisted of 5 members namely: Mike Gabriel, Alex Bacani, Jayr Sillona, Jimmy Martinez (who came with Jay R to Manila) and Owen Amurao. When Mike, Owen and Alex went their separate ways, Jay R and Jimmy continued the group by adding another talented singer named Kris Cadevida. They would do gigs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Michigan.

Jay R also belonged to a band that was lead by his uncle, Robert Sillona, called "The Howlers".

Career He is currently signed under Universal Records. His first album, aptly titled "Gameface", has twelve tracks on it, containing two original Tagalog songs: “Kaibigan”, written by his sister, Jhing Sillona; and “Bakit Pa Ba” written by Vehnee Saturno. Most of the other songs on the album are RnB. He writes and produces his own songs. His first single, “Design For Luv”, is a hip-hop/ RnB single. In April 2004, he accomplished his first ever major concert which was entitled "Gameface the Concert" at the Music Museum, followed by "Gameface Reload" in September 2004.
