| Descripción |
English: While in other parts of the world, specially the US this was just your average automobile it was the wealthier people in the Spain of the sixties that could afford this barge. Owning a little Seat 600 was a big achivement already for a family so only the richer ones could afford a Dart. They were also used as official cars for many politics.
65' was the first model year for the Dart in Spain that kept its production through 1970, with various trim levels and design changes. Eventhough this is actually a 66' it was registered in December 1965, probably a very early 66' model year. It's not that easy to stumble upon one in the flesh, I saw this one the day before I took this picture but had no chance of snapping it so since I was around the day after I checked if it was still there, and indeed it was. Looked pretty good overall although it was missing its right side hubcaps. |
