Esta es una copia del correo que le envié a Jimbo. Con el que no tuve suerte porque ya tenía la agenda ocupada para la fecha.

No te asustes, fuimos por Jimbo en primera instancia, pero con la casi certeza de que el no podría venir.

Yo creo que aún no somos un evento lo suficientemente grande como para recibir a Jimbo. Lo que no quitaría importancia a tu visita, ya que nos puedes hablar de tu experiencia como wikiadmin.

Request for participation, conference on event

Hello/Saludos from Bogotá, Colombia.

The GLUD (Grupo Linux Universidad Distrital) a Linux User Group, is
organizing the annual event SLUD (Semana Linux Universidad Distrital)
an event which promotes the Free Software, Free Knowledge, Free
Content and Free Culture.

This year we celebrate the 6th edition of the event. The event is a
conglomeration of people of all the country, which share a common
interest in the Technology an its applications to the needs of the
people. A number of local projects are presented, we have received
international speakers in previous versions of the event. Also assist,
entrepreneurs, University students from technical and non-technical
carers and people of the commons.

We will be very proud if a speaker of the Wikipedia community
accompany us this time.

The next edition of the event (SLUD2007) carry out, the first week of December.

The event is endorsed by the Universidad Distrital, a public education
establishment, the cost of the transportations and hosting are carried
by us, but we do not have founds to pay the conference itself. We will
of course receive you with arms wide open, giving the best of our
hospitality.

Please let us know if some speaker of the Wikipedia Community is
willing to assist to our event to give us talk (preferable in Spanish
language) about the Wikipedia-Wikimedia project.
