  • We just crossed 14000 active users (over the last month). Thank you all!
• Did you know?
  • Newest properties: Gray's Anatomy 1918 subject, Total valid votes, inverse of, NLP identifier
  • Newest WikiProjects: Food, UK and Ireland, Suisse
  • Newest gadgets: ExportClaims, Mark as patrolled from list of changes
• Development
  • The sitelink section has been reworked. This will go live on Wikidata on Tuesday. The sitelinks will then be slimmer and they will appear in a sidebar on the right side if there is enough space.
  • More performance improvements when parsing an item page, ~%15 faster for some pages :)
  • Titan was selected as the graph DB to implement a Wikidata query service running in production
  • Fixed adding links to ru.wikinews.org which was broken by its change to HTTPS-only
  • Worked on redesigning the header area (label, description, alias, in-other-languages box)
  • Polished d:Wikidata:Data access and d:Wikidata:Database download. Could still use some more work though if you have time.
  • Enabled PHP_CodeSniffer with Mediawiki rules and some additional ones to make us aware of more code issues
  • We no longer log some common 404 errors in the exception log

Cambios recientes del software

• Los archivos PDF en formato apaisado aparecían demasiado pequeños. Ahora se mostrarán correctamente. Puede que tenga que purgar los archivos viejos. [1]
• Ahora puede usar la palabra mágica {{!}} en vez de la plantilla Template:!. Muchas wikis utilizaban la plantilla para crear una barra vertical (|) en tablas y plantillas. Ahora puede borrar la plantilla. [2]

Cambios del software de esta semana

• La nueva versión de MediaWiki (1.25wmf14) ha estado en las wikis de prueba y en MediaWiki.org desde el 7 de enero. Ahora estará en todas las wikis excepto las Wikipedias a partir del 13 de enero y en las Wikipedias a partir del 14 de enero (calendario).
• Un error en el editor visual en ocasiones agregaba un símbolo ☀ (sol). Ese error fue corregido. [3]
• La herramienta de búsqueda y remplazo en el editor visual ahora es mucho más rápida en páginas largas. [4]
• El editor TemplateData ahora usa el mismo diseño que el editor visual. [5] [6] [7]
• La opción thumb ahora se muestra en tu idioma en la ayuda de la barra de herramientas del editor clásico. [8]
