English: 1955 Nash Ambassador Custom, a four-sedan made by the newly organized American Motors Corporation (AMC) that was the merger of Nash-Kelvinator with Hudson Motor Car Company in 1954. This is a full-sized automobile and the Custom models included the continental spare tire mount that increased overall vehicle length by 10 inches. Standard was on the Ambassadors was Nash's venerable overhead-valve 252.6 cu in (4.1 L) straight-six. This car has the optional "Le Mans Dual-Jetfire Six" version with higher compression and dual Carter side-draft carburetors producing 140 horsepower, as well as the popular GM-sourced Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The LeMans name comes from the racing heritage of the Nash-Healey sports cars that were campaigned in the 24 Hours of Le Mans events. This car also has AMC's front-mounted fully-integrated heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning system. The interior features the original upholstery with individually adjustable and relining front seats.
