Here's your quick overview of what has been happening around Wikidata over the last week.

- We had a meetup with nine people:
- set up Wikidata:WikiProject UK and Ireland (sound recording of meeting available)

- Did you know?

- Development
- The sitelink section has been reworked. This will go live on Wikidata on Tuesday. The sitelinks will then be slimmer and they will appear in a sidebar on the right side if there is enough space.
- More performance improvements when parsing an item page, ~%15 faster for some pages :)
- Titan was selected as the graph DB to implement a Wikidata query service running in production
- Fixed adding links to ru.wikinews.org which was broken by its change to HTTPS-only
- Worked on redesigning the header area (label, description, alias, in-other-languages box)
- Polished d:Wikidata:Data access and d:Wikidata:Database download. Could still use some more work though if you have time.
- Enabled PHP_CodeSniffer with Mediawiki rules and some additional ones to make us aware of more code issues
- We no longer log some common 404 errors in the exception log

Cambios recientes del software
- Los archivos PDF en formato apaisado aparecían demasiado pequeños. Ahora se mostrarán correctamente. Puede que tenga que purgar los archivos viejos. [1]
- Ahora puede usar la palabra mágica
{{!}}en vez de la plantilla Template:!. Muchas wikis utilizaban la plantilla para crear una barra vertical (|) en tablas y plantillas. Ahora puede borrar la plantilla. [2]
Cambios del software de esta semana
- La nueva versión de MediaWiki (1.25wmf14) ha estado en las wikis de prueba y en MediaWiki.org desde el 7 de enero. Ahora estará en todas las wikis excepto las Wikipedias a partir del 13 de enero y en las Wikipedias a partir del 14 de enero (calendario).
- Un error en el editor visual en ocasiones agregaba un símbolo
☀(sol). Ese error fue corregido. [3] - La herramienta de búsqueda y remplazo en el editor visual ahora es mucho más rápida en páginas largas. [4]
