Myhrna Chaves de Leon was married to Benedicto Lucas García for a short time circa 1961-2. She left him to escape to America because of the political turmoil and fear for her baby who is named after Benedicto. Myhrna has the highest respect for Mr. Lucas and considers him to be an honorable man. She does not believe any of the accusations against him and is of the strong opinion that Mr. Lucas was the victim of a concerted effort to malign him.
