ndbest fruit. An excess of nitrogen* willcause too great a growth of wood and otherill effects such as plenty of blossoms butfruit fails to set. This formula is made up with the fruitgrowers object in view, viz., to get the mostand best fruit from the minimum plants andacreage. The plant food elements are proportionedso as to increase quality, and at the sametime properly develop the plant without ex-cess. This fertilizer is of the greatest value toberry growers of the Pacific Coast, as it im-proves the color, flavor and texture of thefruit, and the firmness it imparts makes theberries stand up well on long shipments, oneof the most important points of considera.tion to the commercial grower. 500 to 800 pounds per acre will give ex*cellent results. Care should be taken whenapplied to growing plants, not to allow thefertilizer to get on the foliage, especially inwarm weather. Put up in 100-pound and25-pound bags. 25 lbs., 75c; 100 lbs., $2.40; ton, $44.00; F. O. B. Seattle or Portland.

The high priced fruit lands ofthese sections are in need of commercial fertilizers toinsure greatest profits.
