English: 1971 AMC Ambassador, a full-size premium-level car built by American Motors Corporation (AMC). The long-running Ambassador nameplate received minor revisions in trim for the 1971 model year compared to the previous year and also included more factory standard equipment. The previously "nameless" base models were dropped and "Brougham" became the top-line available in two-door hardtop as well as four-door sedan and station wagon body designs. They had the 304 cu in (5.0 L) V8 engine with 210 hp (157 kW) as standard. The previous "AMX 390" V8 engine was replaced by a new 401 cu in (6.6 L) 335 hp (250 kW) V8 as the top performance option. This Brougham station wagon has the 401 engine and is the 8-passenger version with three rows of seats (the third facing rear). The two-way rear tailgate opens down for an extended cargo floor or swings open to the left side to access the third-row seat. The front seats are the standard individually adjustable and reclining 50-50 seats. The roof rack, woodgrain body trim, and rear air deflector are standard, but the full wire wheel covers are optional. It also has the correct twin stripe whitewall tires (size H78x14) that were common during the early 1970s.
