Tara A. Smith (nacida en 1961) es una filósofa estadounidense. Es Profesora de Filosofía, la Cátedra para el Estudio de Objetivismo de BB&T ,[1]​ y miembro de la Fundación para el Estudio de Objetivismo[2]​ en la Universidad de Texas en Austin.

Smith ha dado conferencias por todo Estados unidos, incluyendo la Universidad de Harvard,[3]​ la Wheeling Jesuit University,[4]​ la Universidad de Duke,[5]​ la Universidad de Pittsburgh,[6]​ y la Universidad de Nueva York,[7]​ y a grupos de hombres de negocios.[8]​ También ha organizado conferencias, a menudo enfatizando el tema de la ley objetiva.[9]​[10]​[11]​

Está en la junta directiva de The philosopher's Index[12]​ y está en el Consejo Consultivo Académico del Instituto La Clemson para el Estudio del Capitalismo en la Universidad de Clemson.[13]​ Smith es miembro de la Sociedad Ayn Rand,[14]​ que existe en el seno de la American Philosophical Association. Ella también está en la junta de directores del Ayn Rand Institute.[15]​
