Anexo:Premios de la Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Esta es la lista de premios que otorga el Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), tanto actuales como inactivos, creados por el periodista dedicado a la lucha libre profesional Dave Meltzer. Los primeros catorce premios fueron creados en 1980 como una encuesta informal entre Meltzer y sus amigos y otras personas con las que mantuvo correspondencia sobre el tema de la lucha libre profesional en ese momento. Después de haber comenzado el Wrestling Observer en 1982, los premios cobraron mayor importancia, con un número cada vez mayor de premios otorgados cada año.

Los premios fueron creados para reconocer los logros individuales de un selecto grupo de luchadores que sirvieran de ejemplo a un criterio específico. Los premios se otorgan anualmente en varias categorías, como Luchador del año, Luchador más sobresaliente, Equipo del año, Luchador que más ha mejorado, Lucha del año, etc.; También hay un puñado de premios para reconocer las dudosas distinciones en el negocio durante ese año, como el Luchador más sobrevalorado y la Peor lucha del año. Actualmente, hay 37 categorías activas y 10 inactivas. Los premios se dan mediante votación por los suscriptores del WON, que incluye a varios expertos de la industria, como promotores, agentes y luchadores, así como periodistas, historiadores y fanáticos.

Los premios son organizados en dos categorías. En la "Categoría A" los votantes eligen tres opciones, puntuando al primero 5 puntos, al segundo 3 puntos y al tercero 2 puntos; ganando la votación quien tiene más puntos acumulados. En la "Categoría B" los votantes indican una única opción.
