El escudo fue creado en 1957. En el mismo se observa una rueda de molino de agua roja sobre un fondo dorado. El municipio se encuentra ubicado inmediatamente al este de la ciudad de [[Oslo]], with many main roads going through it. Casi todos los habitantes viven en el sector norte de Lørenskog. The southern parts consist of [[forest]], while farms and grain fields occupy the space in between.▼

From 2006-2008, workers renovated the village of Lørenskog (the administrative center of the municipality), also called the ''"Metro Senter"''. This renovation includes a considerably larger [[shopping mall]], a [[Bus terminus|bus terminal]] with buses going in and out of Oslo every 15 minutes, perhaps a [[Metro station|subway station]], and the new Mailand [[High school|Upper Secondary School]].
