DestruBOT[editar]

Hola. Me parece que tu bot se apresura demasiado a marcar artículos. Lo hace apenas segundos después de ser creados. La primera edición de un artículo completísimo, puede tener apenas dos líneas, y ya lo marcaría para borrado. En PR:PPN recomiendan esperar un mínimo de 12 horas (que a mí me parece incluso demasiado poco). Además, no cualquier artículo reducido es un infraesbozo: hace falta que no sea posible expandirlo más. Y eso es bastante difícil de evaluar con un bot, así que en realidad dudo de la utilidad de lo que está haciendo. Saludos, GabrielG ¿mensajes? 23:19 18 feb 2013 (UTC)

No es cierto que DestruBOT no viole ninguna política:
  • viola WP:NMN porque asusta a la gente. ¿Cómo pensás que se siente alguien cuya primera contribución a la enciclopedia es respondida con un DESTRUIR? ¿Y su página de discusión se inaugura con un cartel que dice que van a borrar lo que está escribiendo tan trabajosamente? Eso produce una situación de enojo y angustia totalmente innecesaria. Para mí este es el punto central, no importa si después un bibliotecario quita la plantilla, el daño ya fue hecho. (De paso, noto que DestruBOT no deja avisos a los usuarios. Eso es muy descortés.)
  • WP:BR aclara qué se entiende por infraesbozo (no sólo debe ser de pocos bytes). Y además, dice textualmente "no se recomienda el borrado rápido a los pocos minutos de su creación". DestruBOT no espera ni siquiera un minuto, así que tambien está violando esta política.
  • En esta wikipedia los artículos se crean directamente en el espacio principal, y se desarrollan ahí. No hay ninguna política que diga que no se pueda hacer eso. Crear un artículo con una sola línea en su primera edición es perfectamente válido y no viola ninguna política vigente, así que tu argumento "Nunca deberían crearse artículos de una línea, aunque solo se tratase de una primera —y no última— edición" no es válido.
  • Las plantillas "en desarrollo" y "en obras" no sólo pocos las conocen, sino que tampoco son obligatorias. No aparecen en ningún texto de la Ayuda relacionado con la creación de artículos [1]. Se agradece que el bot las respete, pero no son la respuesta a los falsos positivos.
  • Por los dos motivos anteriores, no es válido el mensaje que pone DestruBOT dentro de la plantilla Destruir: "Recuerda que no deberían crearse artículos de menos de tres líneas. De hacerlo, se aconseja usar la plantilla {{en desarrollo}}." Eso de las tres líneas aparentemente te lo inventaste, que yo sepa no hay ninguna política que diga nada parecido.
No veo cuál es el problema en hacer que el bot procese los cambios recientes con, digamos, 24 horas de retraso. Significa añadir un parámetro al query, y con eso también se cumple con la recomendación de PR:PPN. Nada más hacer eso, y la mayoría de los problemas estarían solucionados.
Espero que tu respuesta "Claro, pero de este modo es más difícil ganar a los patrulleros" no haya sido en serio. Saludos, GabrielG ¿mensajes? 23:45 19 feb 2013 (UTC)

Bots de interwikis[editar]

Con la implantación de Wikidata en las próximas semanas y la eliminación de los interwikis de los artículos los bots de interwikis no van a funcionar correctamente. Seguirán siendo necesarios bots para mantener actualizados los interwikis pero estos correrán en Wikidata, no en Wikipedia, además el framework Pywikipediabot todavía no funciona bien con Wikidata. ¿Se a debatido sobre la retirada de los flags a esos bots? --Un Saludo Kizar // Contactar 19:04 2 mar 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Bot/Bots activos[editar]

Hola, te comento que ya funciona sin problemas y lee directamente desde la plantilla, solo hay que preocuparse de escribir correctamente los nombres para que Grillitus lea todos los datos de los controladores y bots, ejemplo.     • Proposal was made to the Hungarian, Hebrew and Italian Wikipedias to be the first batch to use phase 2 of Wikidata (infoboxes). Scheduled timeframe for this is end of March
    • d:Wikidata:Database reports has some useful reports like the list of most used properties
    • The interwiki shortcut :d was changed to always use www in the resulting link (to prevent editing issues on other URLs).
    • The list of available properties is growing and a whole bunch of new ones are being discussed
    • Reasonator gives you a nice adapted view of an item about a person
    • Items by cat helps you find missing items in a certain Wikipedia category
    • A few more additions to d:Wikidata:Tools that you should have a look at if you’re editing statements

Addbot[editar]

El bot Addbot está realizando eliminaciones de interwikis parciales ejemplo y no se si es buena idea porque después va a tener que pasar otro bot o varios que acaben lo que ha dejado a medias. Mi bot está haciendo eliminaciones completas, o todos o ninguno, y cuando acabe importaré los intewikis que faltan a Wikidata y ejecutaré el bot de nuevo para que elimine el resto. Por otro lado el otro bot autorizado, Legobot, importa los enlaces que faltan y los elimina todos de una vez. Creo que la mía o esta última es la mejor forma de proceder para evitar ediciones innecesarias y acabar antes el trabajo. --Un Saludo Kizar // Contactar 18:41 7 mar 2013 (UTC)

Chat about Bot Policy and Bots on Spanish WP[editar]

Hello. My name is Randall Livingstone, and I am an en.wikipedian and have spent the last two years researching bots on WP/WM projects (primarily en.wikipedia). I'm wondering if you might be available to chat with me (IRC or IM, Skype, Gchat, phone, email...whatever works best for you) about your experiences and knowledge of the Bot Policy and the bot community on Spanish WP. I'd greatly appreciate your time and expertise, as it looks like you are actively involved with coordinating the approval of bots, operate bots yourself, and have been involved in the creation of Bot Policy.

Buenos días. Perdona, pero me gustaría saber qué tengo que hacer para mejorar la página que he creado sobre Oncomatrix y no sé qué pasos tengo que seguir. He creado una discusión, tal y como sugirió Invadidot, pero estoy un poco bloqueada. Me gustaría saber porque no es correcta, ya que me he esforzado mucho por encontrar las referencias y ya que creo que la investigación de la empresa es muy, pero que muy relevante. Cambiaré lo que me digáis que no es correcto, pero es que ahora mismo no sé muy bien qué hacer para mejorarla. Wikidata weekly summary #50[editar]

Here's your quick overview of what has been happening around Wikidata over the last week.
  • Development
    • Rolled out new code on wikidata.org. The new stuff you probably care about is:
      • Improved references. They can now have multiple lines. This should make references much more useful. You can now have one reference with for example values for each of the properties "book", "author", "page" to describe one source.
      • Fixed the prev/next links in diff view (bugzilla:45821)
      • d:Special:EntitiesWithoutLabel now lets you filter by language and entity type
    • Widget to add language links on the Wikipedias directly: added setting to enable/disable it per wiki and made it available for logged-in users only
    • Widget to add language links on the Wikipedias directly: improved layout / size
    • Made it so that the “edit links” link on Wikipedia is also shown when the corresponding item only has a link to this one language and no other languages
    • Submitted improved Apache config patch to make wikidata.org always redirect to www.wikidata.org, which is awaiting code review and deployment.
    • Improved the script that is responsible for taking Wikidata changes to the Wikipedias
    • Added a few ways to better debug the script responsible for taking Wikidata changes to the Wikipedias. This should help with investigating why some changes take way to long to show up on the Wikipedias.
    • Started work on automatically adding edited items to the user’s watchlist (according to preferences)
    • Finished script for rebuilding search keys, so we can finally get case insensitive matches in a lot of places

    • When you edit a statement there is a little wheel in front of the text field. This lets you choose between “custom value”, “unknown value” and “no value”. “No value” means that we know that the given property has no value, e.g. Elizabeth I of England had no spouse. “Unknown value” means that the property has a value, but it is unknown which one -- e.g. Pope Linus most certainly had a year of birth, but it is unknown to us.

Inicié la tarea de simular la nueva versión de la plantilla de bienvenida de Wikinoticias, pero al parecer no funciona en Wikipedia. ¿Puedes sugerirme algún modo de imitar tales viñetas? Wikidata weekly summary #51[editar]

Here's your quick overview of what has been happening around Wikidata over the last week.
  • Development
    • The first 11 Wikipedias can now include data from Wikidata in their articles (If you want to see it in action see the infobox at it:Torino)
    • Worked on automatic summaries for statements
    • Worked on making properties accessible from the client using their label so you can use {{subst:#property:executive director}} instead of {{subst:#property:p169}} for example
    • Made qualifiers ready for the next deployment (Please test. See details further down.)
    • Selenium tests for qualifiers
    • Fixed some issues related to QUnit testing
    • Worked on improved handling and code design of multiple snak lists in the UI (qualifiers, references)

    • We’re currently carefully monitoring performance after the deployment of phase 2 on the first 11 Wikipedias. There seem to be a few small issues. As soon as they are resolved we'll deploy on English Wikipedia. All other Wikipedias are planned to follow very soon after that.

    • We started running a script on the database in order to make search on Wikidata case-insensitive. This should be finished in a few days and then search should be more useful.
    • In addition to the above we have rolled out a new search box that suggests items. This should also make finding things on Wikidata a lot easier for you.
    • We’re making some progress with Internet Explorer 8 support but there are a lot of issues with it (some outside our control). It’s unclear at the moment how much we can improve it still without spending an unjustified amount of time on it. You can follow the progress at bugzilla:44228
    • Edits are now auto-confirmed for users with more than 50 edits and account age 4 days: bugzilla:46461
    • Do you need old-style interwiki links for a sister project for example? This is for you
    • The Wikimedia Foundation applied as a mentoring organisation for Google Summer of Code again. We have proposed some Wikidata projects for students to take up if the Foundation is accepted again. At least 2 other organisations that applied also propose Wikidata ideas. More details on that once we know which organisations are accepted.
    • Denny hacked together a tree of life based on data from Wikidata
    • Wikidata was added to wikipulse
    • A template to retrieve data from Wikidata if no local value is set
