Stephen J. Dillane (nacido el 30 de noviembre de 1956) es un actor inglés. Ganó un Premio Tony por su actuación en la obra de Tom Stoppard, The Real Thing.

Dillane nació en Kensington, Londres, de una madre inglesa, Bridget (Curwen) y un padre cirujano australiano, John Dillane.[1] [2] [3] Leía historia y ciencia política en la Universidad de Exeter y luego se convirtió en un periodista para Croydon Advertiser.
No feliz con su carrera, leyó como el actor Trevor Eve dejó la arquitectura por la actuación.

Sus hijos, con la actriz Naomi Wirthner, son los actores Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) y Seamus Dillane. El hermano menor de Stephen Dillane, Richard Dillane, también es un actor (Holby City).
