Richard Bartlett Schroder, Jr. (13 de abril de 1970), que a veces aparece en los créditos como Ricky Schroder, es un actor y director de cine estadounidense ganador de un Globo de Oro. Debutó en la exitosa película de 1979 Campeón, y se convirtió en una estrella infantil en la serie de televisión Silver Spoons. Ha continuado actuando en el western Lonesome Dove y el drama policial de televisión NYPD Blue.

Vida temprana y carrera[editar]
Schroder nació en Staten Island, Nueva York. Hijo de Diana, una empleada de la compañía telefónica y Richard Bartlett Schroder, un gerente de distrito de una compañía de telefonía. Tiene una hermana llamada Dawn. Tiene descendencia noruega. Schröder hizo su debut en la película The Champ. Ganó el Globo de Oro a la Mejor Nueva Estrella Masculina del Año a la edad de nueve años por su papel de TJ Flynn en la película The Champ. Precisamente esta película pasará a la historia como La película más triste del mundo según unos científicos.[1] Schroder será recordado con la cara de llanto al ver como muere su padre en la lona del ring...
