En nomenclatura filogenética, las fábidas (Fabidae) son un grupo de eudicotiledóneas que habían sido nombradas informalmente como «eurrósidas I»[4][5][6]​ o «fabids».[7]​ El clado está compuesto por los siguientes órdenes: Celastrales, Cucurbitales, Fabales, Fagales, Oxalidales, Malpighiales, Rosales y Zygophyllales.[8][9][3]​ No se han descubierto para este clado sinapomorfias que no estén basadas en el ADN.
