Descripción
English: High-speed camera film of the expanding fireball of the Ivy Mike thermonuclear weapon test at Elugelab island in the Pacific. "The island of Elugelab is missing!" President Eisenhower heard this short report on the Mike (yield 10.4 Mt) shot in Operation Ivy from Gordon Dean, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. Mike, detonated 7:14 AM 1952-11-01, was the first full-fledged hydrogen bomb to be tested.
