Resumen
| Descripción |
The carillon tower is all that remains of a late gothic church in the small town of Edam (yes, Edam... like the cheese). The gray sky and (loud) crows give this tower an ominous feeling, but it is really a beautiful, majestic, old structure. At least the tulip sale brightens things up a bit. This tower from the 15th century was part of a larger church (The Church of Our Dear Lady), most of which collapsed in the 1883. It's funny, I've been to many cities in my country that were established after 1883. To our travel companions Cindy and Elaina, I took your advice and put the bulk of the Edam, Volendam, Marken, and Zaandam photos up on Walgreens.com.
