Anny Cazenave es una científica francesa, especializada en geodesia y en altimetría espacial. Investigadora en el Laboratorio de estudios en geofísica y oceanografía espaciales de Toulouse[1]​ fue elegida como miembro de la Academia Francesa de Ciencias en el año 2004. Actualmente es una de las principales voces internacionales en la reflexión sobre el cambio climático. También, es una de las científicas líderes del proyecto conjunto francés-norteamericano denominado "satellite altimetry missions" TOPEX/Poseidon, Jason-1, y de la Misión para la topografía de la superficie oceánica. Ha recibido el Premio Fronteras del Conocimiento 2018 en la categoría de Cambio Climático junto con John A. Church y Jonathan Gregory por aportaciones que han permitido “detectar, entender y proyectar la respuesta del nivel del mar a escala global y regional al cambio climático debido a la acción humana”, según el acta del jurado.[2]

Durante su vida académica, ha contribuido al entendimiento del aumento del nivel de los océanos producto del cambio climático.

Cazenave obtuvo su Ph.D en Geofísica por la Universidad de Toulouse en el año 1975.
